What's new in Ignition: Latest updates helping you scale faster
From AI-powered pricing insights to enterprise controls, multi-entity proposals and embedded compliance, here's what’s new in Ignition to help businesses scale profitably heading into the end-of-year period.
We’re hearing from a lot of firms that are facing rising client expectations, increasing compliance obligations, tighter margins, and more pressure to deliver exceptional service with fewer resources. At the same time, AI is reshaping how work gets done, making connected workflows more important than ever.
That’s why we've launched dozens of improvements across Ignition. Rather than adding more tools to manage, we've continued building the connected platform that helps your firm win work, get paid, optimize revenue and grow with confidence.
Here's a look at what's new.
Grow revenue with every client relationship
Winning new clients is only the beginning. Growing revenue comes from capturing more opportunities, pricing confidently and making sure valuable work never slips through the cracks.
This year we've introduced new capabilities that make it easier to do exactly that.
Turn AI into a growth engine
The biggest opportunity with AI is in helping you make smarter decisions that grow revenue and profitability. That's why we've expanded Ignition's open ecosystem, giving you the flexibility to connect Ignition with the AI tools and applications you already use.
Whether you're building custom workflows or securely connecting AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude through the Ignition MCP, you can use your Ignition data to uncover opportunities that drive business growth. Analyze pricing trends, identify clients impacted by scope creep, surface upsell opportunities, and generate insights that help you price with confidence and maximize revenue.
You can also automate repetitive tasks, create proposals, and update client records – freeing your team to spend less time on manual work and more time delivering high-value advisory services that fuel firm growth.
Manage scope changes without losing revenue
Scope creep is inevitable – but lost revenue doesn't have to be.
With Change Orders, firms can update accepted proposals whenever work changes, allowing clients to review and approve additional services, pricing or scope without starting over with a brand new proposal. Everything stays connected to the original agreement, making additional work easier to bill.
“Ignition helps me set the scope and fees upfront, and then if a client asks me to do additional work, I send a change order for those services, and they must sign it before I start. Without it, our fee leakage and scope creep would be massive.”
Paul Talkington, Owner, Talking Tax & Accounting
Measure client loyalty inside Ignition
Client health lets you send a one-question NPS survey to a single client, or to your whole book at once, straight from Ignition. Each client's latest score sits on their record as a promoter, passive or detractor, with their full response history a click away.
Price with greater confidence
Throughout the year, we've continued investing in smarter pricing capabilities like AI-powered price insights that help firms understand their market positioning and charge appropriately, giving teams more confidence during every client conversation.
Improve cash flow without adding admin
Healthy firms are built on predictable cash flow.
Our latest releases make it even easier to invoice quickly, collect payments and manage billing at scale – without creating more work for your team.
A faster way to invoice
Not every piece of work starts with a proposal. Sometimes it's a one-off job for an existing client, sometimes it's extra work that came up mid-engagement, and waiting on a proposal cycle just delays getting paid.
Now you can raise a one-off invoice or bill for an additional service on top of an existing engagement, without a proposal in the loop. Send it as a secure payment link, and the client can pay it straight away.
We also introduced a completely new Invoices experience, giving firms a central place to manage every invoice across every client. Combined with bulk invoice creation, scheduled invoices and improvements to invoice management, firms can spend less time administering billing and more time getting paid.
Billing models that fit how you work
Firms don't all bill the same way. That's why we're expanding the billing models available in Ignition, so you can match how you bill to how the work is actually priced and delivered.
Milestone billing is the latest to land, letting you split a service across as many stages as the work has, with an invoice raised and payment collected at each one. It sits alongside the recurring, one-off and deposit-based billing firms already run in Ignition, with more models on the way.
Financing to fuel growth
This year we also expanded access to faster funding with Stripe Capital, helping eligible firms access financing opportunities to invest in growth, technology and hiring.
“We're currently hiring a Tax Manager as part of our growth strategy, and having access to that capital gave us the confidence to move forward sooner. The process was incredibly straightforward, and the funds were in my account the day after I was approved.”
Charles Hopkins II, EA, Founder and CEO of Wealth by Taxes LLC
Work more efficiently at every stage of the client lifecycle
The biggest productivity gains don't come from doing one task faster – they come from removing entire redundant workflows.
Many of this year's updates simplify how firms manage increasingly complex client relationships while reducing manual admin.
One proposal for multiple client entities
With Client Groups, firms that serve groups of related entities can now send one proposal covering every related entity while automatically managing entity-specific billing behind the scenes. Clients enjoy one streamlined signing experience while firms eliminate duplicate work.
Enterprise control for growing firms
As firms expand into multiple offices or business units, maintaining consistency becomes harder.
Our new multi-office capabilities provide dedicated workspaces for each office while allowing firm leaders to manage everything from a single login. Shared proposal templates and service libraries help standardize pricing and service delivery across the entire organization.
Embedded compliance
Managing AML/KYC obligations are simpler than ever with the introduction of Ignition Compliance to help accounting firms embed AML and KYC checks directly into their engagement workflow. Instead of adding another standalone system, compliance becomes part of how firms onboard clients from day one. Currently available to AU, NZ and UK customers.
Simplify document collection and e-signatures
We've expanded Ignition's document capabilities, making it easy to upload documents as part of the engagement workflow or send documents separately for e-signature. Whether you're collecting onboarding forms, tax documents, authorities or other client paperwork, you can manage signatures alongside proposals in one place – reducing admin, speeding up client onboarding and eliminating the need to switch between multiple tools.
Hundreds of workflow improvements
Alongside these major launches, we shipped a steady stream of improvements across integrations and workflow automations, each designed to remove friction from everyday work and help firms spend more time advising clients instead of managing administration.
New integrations include:
- Digits - connecting AI-powered revenue workflows with the first AI-native ledger, helping firms make smarter pricing, billing, and growth decisions
- FYI - helping firms maintain visibility and control as work moves from sale through to delivery
- Vinyl, Ping, and Abacor - helping firms turn client conversations into proposals faster, uncover growth opportunities, and capture revenue that might otherwise be missed.
“When you get to our level, you have to have products that will scale with you. You can’t rely on manual processes anymore.”
Jason Ackerman, Co-managing Partner, BNA CPA
What's next
As AI transforms the profession, disconnected tools create more complexity. Our focus is on building the platform that automates revenue, cash flow and client operations for modern accounting and professional services firms.
