Whether you’ve been busy with EOFY or away traveling the world on vacation, you might have missed some recent Ignition updates that we’re sure you’ll be interested to learn about.

Each improvement we make, whether a minor tweak or a major update, is designed to deliver more value to our customers – by simplifying the client engagement process, making it easier to get paid and allowing you to run your business on autopilot.

Read on for the latest updates from our product team.

More clarity and control with the new centralized Pipeline view

The new Pipeline view is here!

Give your team the tools they need to close more deals with greater visibility of your proposals across all clients with our new centralized Pipeline view.

Easily view and take action on your proposals thanks to quick filters and custom filtered views.

And with more control of your sales pipeline, you can refine and prioritize the information that’s most important to you, to ensure you never miss a deal.

Perform more dashboard actions with a new high level summary of your pipeline that links directly to the new Pipeline tab.

As for your team? Give them more confidence when you bookmark and share custom Pipeline views with them.

“LOVING the new Pipeline!! Having a holistic view of all my proposals in one place, seeing the most recent activity, who I need to chase or follow up, and having a clear pipeline of what projected sales we have, gives us peace of mind for the success of our business."

- Amy Holdsworth, Director, Clarity Street

Speed up engagements with an improved terms editing experience

Editing your engagement terms is now a breeze – helping you create your client proposals even faster. Add, edit and format your terms with our improved terms editing experience and edit your own terms template or a provided terms template straight from the library without needing to know any code whatsoever.

And just like the new terms editing experience, we're also making it easier to edit and format service descriptions, service terms and notifications too.

Greater billing flexibility with deposits

Collecting deposits for your services in Ignition is now even easier – making sure you always get paid upfront for upcoming work.

Enjoy greater billing flexibility by accepting a deposit upon acceptance, proposal start date or a future date.

Customize what your client sees by changing the label used for ‘deposit’ and ‘balance’ on your proposal to whatever makes most sense to your business and your clients.

Plus, give clients clarity with deposit payments now shown on both the proposal and invoice so your clients will always know what they’re being charged for and when.

Once your client accepts your proposal, Ignition collects the deposit payment automatically – so you get paid without lifting a finger.

Collecting a deposit is best practice for accountants, bookkeepers or any professional services business looking to improve cash flow and minimize business risk – especially when engaging new clients.

What’s coming next?

The next few months will see some exciting improvements. Our team is busy working on a brand new templates gallery on our website, which will showcase a collection of over 60 ready-to-use proposal and engagement letter templates designed to speed up the engagement process and help you stay compliant.

Meanwhile, we’re getting ready to launch the new Ignition Certification Program – our free, on-demand certification course which will give you the skills and confidence you need to realize the full potential of Ignition within your firm.

We’re also working on making it easier for you to change services after your proposal has been accepted. Plus, the Ignition app will be getting a little facelift following our recent re-brand to Ignition!

Stay tuned for more details on these exciting updates over the coming weeks.
