What sets Ignition apart from Anchor

Pre-built proposal templates include recommended services and pricing. AI-powered price insights surface where you're underpricing, so you can raise rates with confidence.

Send proposals to hundreds of clients at once, then renew in bulk. When it's time to reprice, easily apply an increase across your whole client base in one go.

Integrate with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Karbon, Gusto, ProConnect, CCH Axcess and more in a few clicks. Add 7,000+ apps through Zapier, so proposals, invoices and payments land in the systems you already run on.

Define scope upfront in proposals, then bill instantly for out-of-scope work or send clients a change order to approve and sign on the go.

Over 8,500 businesses run on Ignition. On average, customers increase revenue by 24% within the first 12 months, and 91% of payments are collected automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Ignition helps accounting firms and service-based businesses manage client engagements, automate billing, and collect payments securely. It streamlines workflows, ensuring you save time and get paid faster.

Ignition offers advanced functionality to transform your firm’s sales, billing and proposals processes. This includes pre-built proposal templates created by top accounting industry experts, including Ryan Lazanis, Eric Green and Dawn Brolin, to help give your firm a competitive edge.

Ignition’s advanced proposal automation also includes bulk proposals and renewals, as well as bulk auto-price increases - ideal for firms that are engaging hundreds if not thousands of clients at any one time. Getting started with Ignition is also easier with our advanced QuickBooks Online and Xero integrations, allowing you to import clients, invoices and services for faster set up.

Ignition is a trusted platform that’s been in the market for 13+ years, serving 8,500+ customers globally. Since its inception, Ignition has helped firms engage 2.8 million+ clients and process 20 million payment transactions – making us the safest bet if you’re looking for a long-term technology partner.

Purpose-built by a former accounting firm owner, Ignition covers your full revenue workflow from lead to cash, not just proposal to payment, so it keeps working as your firm grows.

Yes, Ignition uses industry-standard encryption and security protocols to keep your contracts, client data, and payment information secure. Ignition partners with well-renowned payment provider, Stripe to power its payment platform.

Ignition has direct integrations with Gusto, QuickBooks Online, Karbon, ProConnect, CCH Axcess, Onvio Firm Management, Practice CS, UltraTax CS, Slack, Financial Cents, Xero and more. Through our Zapier integration, Ignition can also connect with over 7,000 apps, including Hubspot, Typeform and more, providing endless possibilities to automate your workflows and scale your business.

Ignition offers a monthly or annual software subscription (starting from $39 p/m when billed annually), plus charges for payment transaction fees. While Anchor does not charge for the software subscription, it charges $5 per payment received + transactions fees. Both Ignition and Anchor offer the option to pass on credit card payment fees to clients.

While ‘free’ software can be alluring, Anchor’s $5 per payment cost can quickly add up for scaling firms invoicing a high volume of clients per month. For example, Ignition’s Solo plan will cost your firm $39 per month (if billed annually) to manage agreements and payments for up to 20 clients, with no transaction fees if passing credit card surcharges to clients. If you compare that to Anchor’s $5 per payment received, you could be charged up to $100 per month if you collect payments from 20 clients.
