The challenge: Building operational consistency while scaling cost-effectively

Infinity Wealth Partners was founded to bring wealth management and tax expertise together under one roof. As the firm expanded its tax offering through acquisition, the team faced a challenge common to many growing firms: creating consistent processes that could scale without compromising client experience.

The firm lacked a standardized engagement process. Scope expectations weren’t clearly defined upfront, and billing and payment collection required significant manual effort.

For Jennie Sigler, Chief Operating Officer, improving operational discipline wasn't optional.

The team also relied on multiple tools to manage payments and signatures, creating additional administrative work and costs.

"Our office manager was spending an hour or two a day just matching payments," says Jennie.

At the same time, Infinity Wealth Partners was preparing to leverage offshore resources to support future growth. To do so, the firm needed a scalable and compliant way to collect Section 7216-related consent documentation from clients.

The team needed a solution that could standardize engagements, streamline billing and payments, simplify compliance, and support long-term growth.

The solution: Creating a scalable foundation for growth

Standardizing engagements and setting clear expectations from day one

Jennie first discovered Ignition through industry peers and was immediately impressed by the client experience.

"We had interacted with a firm using Ignition, and I just really liked how the proposal experience was as a client," she says.

After implementing Ignition, Infinity Wealth Partners introduced a standardized process where every client signs an engagement letter and provides a payment method before work begins.

The result was greater consistency around scope, pricing, and client expectations.

“Before Ignition, clients often didn't know the cost of their tax return until after the work had been completed. Now with Ignition, we can clearly explain what factors may influence fees. Just establishing that up front helps us operate with more transparency."

The results were evident during the firm's first tax season with Ignition.

"I had a good time watching 1,500 signed engagement letters come in day by day, and with payment details captured," says Jennie.

Reducing billing admin and eliminating payment friction

By automating billing and payment collection through Ignition and integrating with QuickBooks Online, Infinity Wealth Partners saved its office manager up to two hours each day matching payments and managing billing-related tasks.

"We've saved a lot of time on the billing process itself," says Jennie. “We’ve reduced billing admin time by about 20%.”

The team also simplified payment collection by securely capturing payment details upfront and processing payments once work was complete.

"Being able to take payment when we e-file a tax return has worked great," says Jennie. "We also received documents sooner during busy season, since clients must put their payment method on file up front, it motivates them to get their paperwork in faster.”

The move also helped reduce operational costs. Previously, Infinity Wealth Partners absorbed all credit card processing fees. By leveraging Ignition's payment workflows and surcharging feature, the firm cut its net processing costs in half.

"That’s no longer a hefty line item on our P&L," says Jennie.

Staying compliant while reducing staffing costs

As Infinity Wealth Partners expanded its use of offshore resources, maintaining compliance became a critical requirement.

The firm needed an efficient way to distribute and collect Section 7216-related consent documentation as part of the client engagement process.

Using Ignition's additional document signatures feature, the team incorporated the required documentation directly into its workflow.

The streamlined process not only helped the firm maintain compliance standards but also created meaningful operational savings.

"If we don't have an effective way to get out that 7216, I can't leverage the human resources offshore, which is about half the cost," she explains.

Making pricing decisions with greater confidence

Using Ignition's AI-powered Price Insights, Jennie and the team gained confidence in its pricing strategy, as the personalized benchmarking data provided an external reference point for the leadership team to consider during internal planning discussions.

"Ignition’s Price Insights has helped our internal pricing strategy conversations," she says. "Usually, the pricing insights that are provided on a specific service confirm our initial gut instinct around pricing, so it's nice to have data supporting it."

For Infinity Wealth Partners, Ignition has become more than an engagement and payments platform. It provides the operational foundation needed to manage engagements, billing, compliance, and pricing with confidence while delivering a consistent client experience at scale.
